In this cold January-darkness, you need a little sunshine, right? Since my new, red wintercoat also needed a little scarf in a contrast-color, it wasn't difficult finding the skein of Madelinetosh Lace that I bought in San Francisco for this very purpose. The pattern is Henriette's pretty shawl, only made with very fine yarn on very thin needles. It surely is thin! I made a longer center-piece, and the middle-piece will be a bit bigger as well, I think. It's soft and lovely, and the size will be just right.
