Thank you so much for all the comments and wishes yesterday. I really enjoyed reading them during the day!
I'm not great at birthdays, and most of the day I was stressed thinking of the 9 guests coming in the evening. At work I have been alone in the outpatient clinic with a brand new doctor for 3 days (he was very good, though), and felt some pressure over that. All in all, I didn't expect too much from this day.
Didn't help when I arrived home less than two hours before my guests came and by the way discovered that all my tablecloths were too short......
From that point everything got better and better! I had a nice piece of Africa-fabric that was very pretty as a tablecloth, and everyone helped preparing dinner, doing the dishes and the layer cake. (My niece who is 11 wanted so badly to make one of the cakes, and she was really good at it!)
It ended up as the nicest night.
And there were gifts! A troll-bead (a queens crown) for my bracelet, a chili plant and Belgian chocolate (woops. Not on the photo, but not eaten!), invitation for a girlz night (yes. Lots of z's), Polska Wodka from my neighbour ("It says Polish vodka. Or do you understand it?"), 2 amazing books - one of them the debut novel by Maren Uthaug (that I started reading now) and "Svalens graf" (a book involving a dead professor and childrens vaccinations can ONLY be good!). Hand cream for knitters and the most amazing gift that started me screaming and dancing a little. A GIFT CARD for a yarn shop on Fanø!!!!!! Can't wait until the wool fest starts. (And I'm still totally amazed that my sister found and compared Fanø yarn shops on the internet! Still speechless.)
