The very last birthday in my family this year is my niece, who will turn 16 years tomorrow. She was celebrated yesterday, since she was at home and I was visiting. (Lucky me!)
The gift wasn't quite finished. I brought one almost finished sock, but since the young lady (fortunately) has 2 feet, I was kind of busy! (She also had some earrings, so I did give her something in the morning.....)
My plans were to finish the second sock today, but I had a lot of time for knitting yesterday, so they were finished late last night, and she received them and was very happy.
The pattern is from the November Issue of "The Knitter". They were made with Zitron Trekking Hand Art, the color is "Kiwi". I made my own version of the toe, but otherwise I did exactly as the pattern said and I used around 60 grams of yarn.
The pattern was fun and interesting, and the colors are pooling a little differently on either sock. I was very happy with the result, and so was the recipient!
