Finally, Christmas came! Happy Christmas!
Christmas Eve was at my sister's this year. We walked around the Christmas tree and opened presents in the afternoon, which works really well. It is much easier to enjoy the Christmas dinner without very excited kids waiting for their gifts, and you sing way better, walking around the tree without all that food inside.
Excitement was palpable anyway, though. How can you not be so excited about the gifts when you are a child? Everybody were happy with their gifts. I even received a real hug from my 14 year old nephew because he was happy with his present! That's huge from a teenager......
I also had some wonderful presents. The biggest surprises were the robot ornament and the alarmclock with a frisbee that flies off. You have to find it and put it back on for the alarm to stop......
The new teapot is something I really wanted. It is big and holds a tea strainer. I'm going to use this a lot!
There was yarn, too. Yummy yarn! Wool from Latvia and mink from - ehm - Esbjerg. There were knitting books! I got on less than 3 books! Right now they are in my suitcase, going with me to Jutland. You are going to see them later!
The best gift from me was the one for my niece. A Rainbow Loom, bought in the US. For making bracelets and stuff from little rubberbands. Before I left, she had made 4 already......
Now all I have to do is enjoying 5 days off from work, spending time with the family.
Happy days of Christmas to all of you!
