Rygtet siger / Rumor has it
Yes - still here. The dog welcomed me as happily as ever, even though my neighbor was hiding behind my door. The dog biscuits are mine to keep (or eat). My furry friend prefers meatballs, so if I really want to spoil him after the walk, I'd better find some of those!
Last night I walked through Frederiksborg Castle, and would like to share a funny detail. (I love these old stories!)
When approaching the castle via "Rendelæggerbakken", you enter through "Møntporten" ("Coin Gate", which I think was built from stones taken from "Hammershus", another old building at Bornholm, if my memory is correct). On both sides of the gate the decoration shows some young ladies, as you see. On the outside, they don't look too happy, and they have very big bellies.
On the inside they look a bit tense as well, but the bellies are really flat. Can you see it?
Rumor has it, that this decoration is in memory of all the young servants arriving happy and slim, but leaving the castle a few months later, baby on board......
Pretty funny, don't you think?
