This week came with 2 opportunities to pick up my sister's kids in school and kindergarten, and 2 opportunities to eat icecream. First it was only the 2 boys. My niece was very jealous - she never had icecream at "Strandtutten", she claimed - so yesterday she was coming as well.
It is quite a walk along Amager Strandvej, but when you glimpse icecream at the end of the tunnel, it's okay.... (Transportation on 2 wheels helps as well)
Strandtutten!
The ice cream shop, Strandtutten! A shop typical for Amager. Not very high-class, but nice and selling good icecreams. Since I was bringing 3 children, they could have 3 scoops each. After finishing, the niece admitted that she had actually been there before with one of her friends. That was the end of feeling very sorry for her!
Being Friday and all, they also had candy and watched "Disney Sjov" (all Danish children watch 1 hour of Disney cartoons every Friday night and eat candy). Is it true that kids might start shaking if eating too much sugar?
