Huen / The hat
My nephew, my sister's oldest, had his confirmation yesterday. It was such a nice and wonderful day!
I held a speech for him. I always do for my nephews and nieces. He has dreadlocks (which he loves very much), and at some point he tried on my hat that I made in January. He wanted one of those. Because the long strings on top looked a bit like his hair.
Of course he needed to have one of those! So there I sat in the sun in Frederiksberg Gardens during this week, knitting with wool like a maniac, while everyone else enjoyed the sun, drinking white-wine. Maybe they will talk about me like the talk about the heron-guy?
It's (obviously) another asparagus-hat, only with longer cords on top. Made with wool- and alpaca-yarn from other projects. Really soft and warm.
Fakta? Strikket på pind 4 efter den næst-mindste størrelse. 125 gram garn. (Se, DET er tung strik!)
He was happy! Wore it when we went for ice cream (our dessert) on the beach. It will be good during the cold Michigan winters......
Facts? Made with 125 grams of yarn, using 4 mm needles and the second size. (Now, THAT is heavy knitting!)
