Ting / Stuff
F.eks. at det snart er påske, og butikkerne går amok i påskeslik og påskepynt. Det er jo meget som i Danmark. Selv om man nok ikke finder et påske-æg-fad som dette i Danmark!
There are plenty of fun stuff to look at here in the US. Of course the culture is different, but some things are the same. Just in a different way.
For instance, Easter is coming up soon, and the shops are booming with Easter-candy and decorations. That's a lot like Denmark, although I don't think you can by an Easter-egg-plate like this in Denmark!
This board-game was a bit unusual as well. I doubt that I would be able to have other than a few people with a rather morbid humor play with me, saving humanity from a pandemic!
This book was extremely practical. Avoid all the fuss about finding the right boyfriend. Just knit him! The size was very handy as well. He can be placed in a box if he makes too much trouble.
Jeg havde faktisk også allerede købt gaver, så der var "desværre" ikke behov for flere.
I saw this picture yesterday. Thought about buying it for my sister, who is celebrating her birthday today. I'm sure she would LUUVE it!
Actually, already I bought the presents, so "unfortunately", I didn't need another.
On the presents was socks (of course). Both socks were done on the way over here. They were really fast, since I used 3 mm needles, and they were also the simplest socks I made for a very, very long time. Ribbing for the leg, stocking stitch for the foot. A total of 115 grams and great to wear!
Gaven til min søster var omhyggeligt medbragt fra Danmark. 2 kopper fra Maren.
De blev godt modtaget!
It is so nice being here for the birthday! The kids were very eager to get to help putting candy on the birthday-cake-lady for her work. My niece got to make the braids, and my nephew helped decorating. It ended up very nice!
The present for my sister was brought from Denmark. Two cups from Maren.
They were well received!
