Sankt Lucia / Saint Lucy

I dag er det Lucia-dag i Sverige. Det er en KÆMPE ting! Selv på sygehuset er der Lucia-optog. Det er så fint og hyggeligt, selv om den originale historie om Lucia ikke er spor hyggelig. Hun var martyr for cirka 1800 år siden. Nå. Men både i Danmark og Sverige er der optog med syngende børn med lys. Og "Lucia-bruden" har jo en hel krans i håret! Alle vil være hende! Så dagens opskrift er en hæklet krans med lys. 
 

Today it's Lucia-day in Sweden. It is a HUGE thing! Even at the hospital, there is a Lucia parade. It is so pretty and nice, although the original story about Saint Lucy is anything but nice. She was a martyr about 1800 years ago. Well. But both in Denmark and Sweden, they have a parade of singing children with candle lights. And the "Lucia bride" has a wrath on her hair! Everybody wants to be her! So today's pattern is for a crochet wrath with candles.
