Søsterdag / Sisters day

Den sidste hele dag i USA hyggede jeg med min søster. Vi tog til Lambertville, en lille hyggelig by, som jeg selvfølgelig ikke anede fandtes. 

Vi startede med at spise tapas på en lille restaurant med det fineste loft! (Hvis jeg havde taget billede uden mit ansigt på havde I jo bare tænkt det var en væg.... Derfor!)

The last whole day in the US, I had a nice day with my sister. We went to Lambertville, a small, really cozy city that I had no idea was there.

We started by having tapas on a tiny, really nice restaurant with a very pretty ceiling! (If I hadn't had the face in the photo, you would just have thought it to be a wall..... That's why!)

Bagefter gik vi i en antikvitetsbutik, hvor der på første sal indtil for nylig har været et vampyrmuseum! Desværre var museet lukket, men der var stadig vampyrting tilbage, og DET var klamt! 

Selv om der ikke var mange ting, var bare tanken om at nogen faktisk havde haft og brugt de her ting virkelig ikke rar. Her på billedet er det en kiste som man kunne tage med på jagten, fuldt udrustet med kors og træspid. 

Det må have været lidt som heksejagt i Danmark, tænker jeg. Virkelig væmmeligt at det ikke bare er sket på film. 

Afterwards, we went to an antique shop, because on the first floor, until recently, they had a vampire museum! Unfortunately, the museum was closed, but they still had vampire stuff left, which was GROSS!

Although they didn't have a lot of stuff, just the thought of someone actually having and using these things was by no means nice. This photo shows a coffin that you could bring hunting, fully equipped with crosses and wooden sticks. 

It must have been a bit like the witch hunts in Denmark, I guess. Really horrible that this didn't just happen in movies. 

Nede i butikken var der rigtig mange sjove ting. Bland andet disse gamle medicinglas fra de gode gamle dage, hvor stryknin var opkvikkende og kviksølv var godt til mange ting. 

Det var virkelig hyggeligt med sådan en søsterdag. Mand, hvor har jeg nydt min ferie!

Downstairs in the shop, they had a lot of fun stuff. For instance these old medicine glasses from the good old days, when strychnine was considered a stimulant and quick silver was great for many things. 

I really loved a sister day like that! Man - I enjoyed my vacation so much!
