The last evening in Maine was used for something quite unusual. We lived quite close to Timber Tina's show, and of COURSE we had to watch it!
Even the dog was allowed to come, so we had no excuses!
The show is simply showing what lumberjacks can do and a competition in their classic disciplines. The audience each got a team to cheer on, and even Daisy understood that she had to bark for the red team (our team).
It was so much fun!!!!!!
They chopped and sawed tree trunks and battled in who could climb the trunk most quickly.
They were really fast!
The kids could also go on stage to try the big saw, and I've never seen such a long line of kids running to the front that quick! All of them had a diploma.
The last discipline was log rolling. I'm not sure how they did this, to be honest, but everybody survived. Very wet, though.
I'm not really sure who won. I guess it was the green team. Not ours. But this was seriously so much fun!
Apparently they even have world championships in all these disciplines that you can follow on Facebook when it's time. Maybe it's worth watching?
