Forberedelser / Preparations
Min eneste hjemmelavede forberedelse bliver disse. Tapioka-perler.
De ser temmelig kedelige ud i posen!
Today, I'll celebrate my birthday. Again. This time, for knitting friends (+ 1, who is a non-knitter. Poor thing!). We'll be just 5 people, but I do expect a very nice time.
My only homemade preparation is these. Tapioca-beads.
They look pretty boring in the bag!
(De skal nok få andet end bubble-tea. F.eks. Irish Coffee og cheesecake fra Bertels!)
They have been boiled and are now waiting in sugar-syrup in the fridge, waiting. I've made tea, which is now cooling, and then I plan on introducing my friends to bubble-tea.
Homemade! I do expect it to be a first for quite a few of them.
(They'll get something else, too. For instance Irish Coffee and Bertel's cheesecake!)
Yesterday was the day of the death of one of my eternity-projects, an orange cardigan with cables.
It would just never get done. Especially since it would definitely become too small. So now it's unraveled, the nice cotton/wool-blend and the thin cashmere/wool, both kinds bought in China.
I do think the pretty orange could be combined with the delicious multi-color yarn in some mosaic-knitting, for instance this one.
I'm not quite sure about the contrast, though, but I could test it!
Oh well - and then I started another pair of socks. For me! Using the über-delicious yarn I got from my niece, hand-dyed from GarnGalleriet.
How pretty and amazingly soft this is!
I guess I should knit something more for her, since her presents are SO great! (She is reading my blog. I hope she is happy reading this!)
