I have less than a week left before going home again. It's amazing, how time flies! Tomorrow, they will sign my license, so I'll just get to do bronchoscopy before going home. It's wonderful!
This last weekend should be well spent. But I didn't want to get up early and rush into town to see some museum. So I got ready in my own time, took a bus and had a great lunch in the old city.
The best falafel I had here in Israel. (Fortunately without french fries which sometimes is inside the pita!)
Afterwards, I walked around the old city. I Went inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. All the thin wax-candles were very pretty, and it was nice with all the different people in there. This time, a lot of Ethiopians and Russians!
After coffee, cake and a few postcards (I need to write them SOMEtime!), I walked up across Mount Olive late in the afternoon. There are so many tombs on Mount Olive - some of them a few thousand years old! Here they lie, waiting for the Messiah to come and set foot on Mount Olive. There is the most amazing view over the city - and to the sunset!
And then I saw one more incredibly Beautiful sunset! It really is amazing watching these sunsets and saving them as photos!
Afterwards, I walked across the mountain (not a very big mountaing) to spend a nice evening in the company of friends. I try to walk a lot while I'm here - and have the time! Yesterday, I walked 20.000 steps. A bit less might have been okay.... Today, I'll walk some more. There are no busses today, so it will be a 5 km walk to the Israel Museum. But it's good for me, I guess! (Afterwards, I'll take a taxi home)
Your sunset photo is so beautiful, and walking is definitely very healthy :)
