Trapper / Stairs

On Saturday, many things were closed. But something that was open (and recommended by my nephew) was the city-walls walk. You can get to walk on the wall for quite a length - I think I walked on almost half of it! - and THAT was interesting!
It was fun being able to see the back of some houses and the bazaar, and even quite a few roofs. It was also very nice and quiet, since not many people actually find this. You need to know it's there!

You could also look at people without them being bothered. I'm constantly fascinated by the ultra-ortodox Jews in their long coats and bit hats, a lot of the time in families with a serious lot of kids. Once, I counted EIGHT! The oldest one didn't look a day over 12 years.
It really is a very different life. Arranged marriages, lots of kids and certainly not too much money.
Men hvad.

The wall didn't just have a lot of stairs. Many of the stairs had really high steps!
Alternatively, you could walk on staircases like this one. Anyway. When the wall was build, I guess there was absolutely nothing called a railing, so there has been some progress!
Først mødte jeg ham her - selveste Kong David!

From atop the wall I could see Mount Zion and on the map on my phone, I could see that Schindler's grave wasn't too far away. So back on the ground, I went out to have a look. First, I met this guy - Kind David himself! I also went inside to see his grave, which apparently is a holy place here. The sarcophagus was at the end of a room, which was split down the middle with a partition into a women's and men's space. Photography was an absolute no-go, but it was very interesting to see it.

I found Schindler's grave, too. It was very touching to see it. I watched Schindler's list, I've been to his factory, and I read about him. He really didn't have any success as a business-man before or after the way, and he just started hiring cheap workers for earn money. Only after a while did he actively start saving people.
Jews don't put flowers on graves - they put stones! As you very clearly can see, he is by no means forgotten.
So that was the weekend. Today, a new week begins. The second-last, actually! Time suddenly flies.
