My socks - which fortunately are NOT purple! - are done. They ended up like a fairy tale - you know cutting off parts of you feet - since I only had just enough yarn. After being done with the first sock, I discovered that I used more than half of the yarn, and had to redo the toe. On both socks. Fortunately, I had just enough! This was the end of it.
The pretty yarn was bought at Mothy and the Squid, and as I said, it is definitely not purple.
It was somewhat thicker than expected, but worked out fine on 3.25 mm stitches, and I really like how the colors in the yarn forms waves in the knit/purl pattern. Looks kind of complicated!
I found the pattern in this book, which I found very cheap in a supermarket. I used pattern number 7. The book is fun and simple with pretty patterns and colors!
The socks weighs 105 grams, and I think that is well done from a 100 grams skein. They are lovely and pretty, and I'm looking forward to using them next winter.
P.S. My colleagues DID find my color-denial very silly - but what to do, now that I decided I don't like purple?
