Klar til sommer / Ready for summer
My summer top is done. Using size 4.5 mm needles, it really was a fast knit when I had a few whole days of knitting. I used all of the yarn, more or less. I only have a little bit left! The pattern is from a small book of summer knitting in an old magazine from 2013. I turned the pattern upside down (literally) and knit it top-down, to make sure I had enough yarn. By the way, the yarn was bought at a supermarket last summer, and is a nice blend of cotton, viscose and linen.
After a wash, the neck is kind of a bit wider than what I like. So I guess the last bit of yarn will be used for tightening up the neck with a crochet row! When that is fixed, I feel quite sure that I'm going to love it. All summer!
The stripes are really random - a skein didn't hold a lot of yarn, and it was impossible to get a real stripe pattern!
All in all, it weighs 365 grams, and I used 12 skeins. I also have 10 skeins of beige/brown/orange, so it that should be turned into something, I need to use some other yarn as well. Could be nice!
