I promised to show you a bit more from my trip to the US, so here goes with some photos from when we went camping.
It is so nice camping in Michigan. (Apart from a certain bird with the voice of an alarm, which sat screaming at 6.30 a.m.) This year, we went to Interlochen, a 4 hour ride from Ann Arbor.
The tents were raised quite quickly and peacefully, without me wanting to kill my niece. (It probably helped that I didn't have too much jetlag!)
The camping park is located in a forest, and like last year, we had a fireplace.
Several days, we went on trips and visited Traverse City, Petosky and Glenn Arbor. We went to no less than 3 Cherry Republic shops, each one bigger than the other. I will make a post about it.
Here we are, waiting with the dog, while my niece went looking at clothes. My nephew has an age where he absolutely doesn't want to get his photo taken, and if he allows it, you can't post him on facebook. But on this picture, you can't see him anyway, so I guess he survives.
As you can tell, he still likes his Pokémon sweater!
Den ene aften fik vi snobrød! Juhuu!
One evening, we had snobrød! Yipee! The only claim was that I had to make the dough myself (no problem!) and the sticks were too small, but it was just the BEST!
Afterwards, I talked about my amazing snobrød all week. It surely is the Danish way of mental torturing kids, because I never knew a child with patience to wait and make a really good snobrød. (Especially when you know it will get done quicker if it catches fire!)
The camping park was next to a lake, and there was a nice beach and the possibility to go sailing. At night, there were so many stars, and the sunrise looked like this.
If next years summer vacation comes with a camping trip again, I'm in!
