Heldigvis lignede H.C. Andersens hus sig selv.
This Sunday, I went to Odense. The beautiful town where I did my studies and lived for 11 years. I was going to the summer party in the northern part of Funen, and I took an early train. Early enough to go for a little walk before it was time for church.
A lot had happened! The big road, Thomas B. Thriges gade, which has been kind of the main road through the center, had suddenly gone! They build like crazy, and I do think it will end up well. But it was so strange how the road suddenly had disappeared!
Fortunately, Hans Christian Andersen's house looked as usual.
They had opened up to let you gaze into "new" old backyards, which was very pretty to look at.
I also went window-gazing at Tante Grøn, but fortunately, it was closed.
The weather was really nice, so it was lovely seeing Odense again, and somehow, 1.5 hours of train ride feels like nothing......
Before we went to the party, I had the joy of hunting blackberries in their apple plantation. I just love blackberries! There were so many of them, that I could have eating enough to have a stomach ache without anyone being able to see that I had even eaten anything, and they even grew up in the apple trees!
It was so nice spending a day with old (and some new) friends.
It's crazy to think, that even though I feel like I have been living so very long in Odense, I've already lived much longer in Copenhagen..... Time flies!
SvarSletMin datter hedder Henriette.
