Anden gang i garnbutikken / Second trip to the yarn store
On Thursday there was a dinner with everyone from the course, and since I was wandering around the old city anyway, I suddenly happened to be near the yarn shop. So I just had to pop by and take a look again. How often do one visit Madrid, anyway? (Rule no. 1: You are ALWAYS allowed to buy yarn when visiting another country!)
This time there were very few people, and I ended up buying a little brown and green wool. The lady in the shop found the skeins and weighed them (to calculate the price) and then wound them together.
So even though I still find the system of not touching very strange, it was a fun experience.
This years Christmas tree ornament for my sister and brother-in-law was bought as well. On skype, I watched the ornament they bought for me. Believe me. It is the most HORRENDOUS thing ever seen!
There is no chance I'll find anything as ugly, so I bought a little nut cracker figure instead.
Cute, don't you think? (And only a little ugly!)
