(Been there, done that.)
It gives rise to some challenges having guests on a weekday evening, when you get home late. Especially when you (I) love to do as little as possible when finally at home for a night, and when you're definitely not the type who loves to be ready with everything early on.
But yesterday, I was smart! Carrots are grated, onions cut and the broccoli is now waiting in small bits. Which will spare me half an hour of cooking tonight. At the same time, I got to watch the episode of Dr. Who which I missed on Saturday! (Imagine me being one of those people who watch "tv" in the kitchen!)
So now I hope the trains will be more or less in time, and that I will be home before my guests. It does feel kind of stupid getting home when they sit outside waiting! (Been there, done that.)
What will you cook? Will you steam or sauté?
SvarSletHi Dorina!
SletIt was a new recipe I found, which was quite good.
400 grams of Chicken (I used turkey) in smaller pieces was sauteed. Then I added 1 chopped onion (medium size), 1 broccoli (300 grams?) in smaller bits and 200 grams of fresh (or thawed) peas. Salt and pepper was added, and then it was mixed with pasta (I cooked 500 grams of dryed pasta) and 1 container of green pesto. Served while still warm.
It was very good and very quick.
The carrots? They were for the cake....
