Last night, two of my colleagues took pity on me and invited me for a real, Swedish kräftskiva. (I'm quite sure it was for the fun of it as well.) So after work, I walked down to the center to one of my colleagues. She had a beautiful view of the cathedral and sunset, and a really, really pretty (and tidy) apartment.
The table was set with bibs and hats (and a discussion about whether it really was hats or unicorn horns? An important issue as pediatricians!) There were crayfish and biscuits and bread and sallad and cheese. Oh well - and some extra shrimps if the crayfish weren't enough. There was also snaps and snaps songs in Swedish. And beer with the food.
I didn't have to eat cheese, fortunately, but the rest of the food was really good! It was a very nice evening.
So now I'm back in my own colorful, messy living room. I've started this entire week where I'm just going to celebrate my birthday and enjoy myself. It's not bad at all.......
