The shawl is done. Right on time, but not before time! It was washed and blocked last night, so I went to bed very late and had shawl-nightmares most of the nigth.
BUT I really think it was worth all the trouble! It has grown quite a bit after blocking, and it ended up so thin and light and soft and warm and pretty as anything I've ever seen! I do believe it is the most beautiful shawl I ever knitted!
Even though there are some "creative interpretations" of the pattern some places, it is impossible to see. And the number of stitches ended up being the right number.
I made it in Gepard Cashmere Lace, and I used just a bit less than 2 skeins. The shawl weighs 48 grams and was made on 3.5 mm needles.
The pattern is actually wonderfully written and not complicated, but you REALLY have to concentrate. I've had the greatest success knitting the lace-pattern when I've been alone with the tv turned off. (That doesn't happen often. Usually I talk or watch tv while knitting most of my projects!) I can give the yarn and the pattern my warmest recommendations.
