Det er dejligt farverigt!
After a lot of hours crocheting and a considerable amount of stubbornness, the blanket is totally done, and is now in the process of being washed. A few times.
It is wonderfully colorful!
Sammenhæklingen fungerede rigtig fint, selv om det krævede noget koncentration. Det er blevet fint og helt fladt, og den fylder ikke meget i forhold til firkanterne.
The method of connecting the squares worked really well, although I needed to concentrate. It's pretty and completely flat, and it doesn't take up a lot of space compared to the squares.
I did a small border with 2 rounds of single crochet. It looks fine and is not dominating. The fun thing about the blanket is all the Kauni-colors!
When it was done, it weighed a bit more than 1 kilo. That counts well in my out-balance, and all the yarn used was from my stash (which holds even more Kauni, I guess!)
Selv om der er flere, der har tilbudt tæppet et kærligt hjem, så kommer det med mig over dammen på ferie, så det kan bo hos min søster og co. Det skal ikke være min skyld, hvis de fryser!
The blanket ended up having 8x12 squares and measures around 135 x 200 cm. That is a perfect size for covering a bed, and I think it will be nice and warm for the Michigan winter.
Although several people offered a loving home for the blanket, it will join me going across the pond for vacation and then it will live with my sister's family. If they freeze, it's not going to be my fault!
