I knit and knit all Sunday afternoon and evening, and the shawl got finished, washed and was blocked, and I actually brought it on work on Monday, so I could look at it. I knew I wouldn't really be at home again until Wednesday evening, so it was kind of difficult showing it off here earlier. (I'm not that happy about having to write Danish blog posts on my Swedish computer!)
But here it is. 175 grams of Blackhill Højlandsuld, using 7 different colors, knit using size 3.5 mm needles. It was only washed once, so it still smells a bit of spinning oil, but that's okay.
I really like these colors together, but actually, it's just the colors I happened to find in the box. There isn't a lot of thought picking the different shades.
The shawl was not at all difficult. Stockinette stitch with stripes of mosaic knitting, and then an edge. But oh my, it is so pretty! Karen really knows how to design shawls, and her book is just great.
Well. After having looked at my shawl for a few days, I wrapped it around my neck. It is SO warm. I am really happy with it.
