Every time I am on call and has to stay in Lund, I take a walk down in the city. If I have time, you know. By now it's summer, and then there are a lot of possibilities to go for walks, since a lot of my colleagues are on vacation.
There are some really cozy places. Near the hospital, there is the "Professor quarter" with some giant houses. They are very different, but all of them are big enough to house more than one family! Down by the cathedral, there are a lot of small townhouses. Old and crooked, and SO pretty! This street was just so cute that I had to take a picture, and there are more streets like that one.
This wall was also just so pretty. Well - it's hardly good for the bricks when the plants grow in between them, but it looked really beautiful.
You can walk around, imagining how Lund was a few hundred years ago. It probably smelled really bad back then, but not in my mind!
Lund has a few interesting, nice museums, and I often think that I should go there some time when I am not working, to take a look around. But then, when I'm off in the weekend, I don't want to.....
But now that I do have to stay close to the hospital, it's really nice with the possibility to go out and look at the town!
