Garn-shopning / Yarn-shopping
We had some trip when we went looking for yarn.... We succeeded in finding 2 of 3 yarn shops, but they were located quite far away, so we took a taxi.
The first was Kaleidoscope. A really nice little shop with a lot of nice brands. Quite a few English and American, but also some Danish. They didn't hold any local yarn.
The second shop was called Fil de Luxe and was within a walking distance from the first one. It was a bit more old-fashioned, and the owner only spoke French. Not English. (So I dug out the numbers in French from deep within my brain when I bought buttons!)
In the first shop, I bought some really nice, green sock yarn. Pure Blue Face Leicester, which should be great for socks, since the fibers are very long. I guess I should start some socks for me soon, since I bought quite a few skeins of luxury sock yarn in the last year!
In the second shop, I bought some beautiful, very thin lace-yarn. I think it could turn into a nice triangle shawl with green and blue stripes and a brown border?
The buttons are from the second shop. Nice, red buttons!
The ChiaGoo needles are from the first ship. I read about how amazing they are, and now I have to try them...... It is a 3.25 mm and a 4 mm needle. I'll definitely get to use these!
Finally, I bought a sock book too. It has some very pretty, fun patterns, and it is difficult getting too many sock books, isn't it?
