Velforsynet / Well equiped
I was very (happily) surprised, when I once more received an Advent calendar from 4 of my nephews and nieces. It is also VERY exciting opening the gifts, since they proudly continued my tradition of strange stuff from their calendars when at boarding school. Last year, I got sausage spice. So far this year, I received clay (this year for a decoration, not for an ash tray like the clay last year) and candy, so it's very promising!
Så nu åbner og spiser jeg dem selv. Ret hyggeligt!
The licorice-pipe advent calendar was one that I happened to find in a supermarket, and then I thought they would love this in the US. But then it was too big for the box, and I figured it wouldn't like 4 kilos of candy on top, so it never got in the mail.
So now I open it and eat them myself. Very nice!
The third calendar wasn't really planned either, but in the middle of November i remembered thos Opal sock yarn calendars that I heard about last year, and then I "happened" to order one.
It is so much fun opening for a small skein of sock yarn every day in a new color! It is a bit stressful, though, not having time to work through the skein of the day that day. I would love to!
I thought about crochet squares or socks with stripes in the different colors. Or something else.
Well, I guess it won't be this year that I die from a lack of Christmas calendars.....
