Her købte jeg - meget omhyggeligt! - ingenting.
My friend from Esbjerg is also a hardcore knitter and yarn nerd. We didn't have many plans for the weekend, apart from brunch Saturday, and watching a lot of episodes from a Danish TV-show and then visit some yarn shops. I thought we might as well visit as many as possible!
We started by spending my Christmas present, having "Brunch with bubbles" at
Metropolitan, right in the middle of Frederiksberg and pretty close to my place. It was a great brunch!
Afterwards, we visited the yarn shops closest by. First
Garn-iture, which is a fine, little shop that is going to close down in order to move to another place. I have never been inside before, and I bought new kids-needles with cats on top. Just in case my youngest nephew wants to learn how to knit again.
Then we went to
Jorun garn. As always, I just love the table with cones! Here I bought - very well-restrained! - nothing.
I meget høj grad!)
The next few shops were place close to the metro. First we took a ride to Vanløse, to visit
Nørkleriet, where I was ever so helpful finding yarn for Anette to buy! They had a great offer on silk outside, and it was very tempting! But I just bought a few more needles.
Rasmilla is also worth a visit when you are from out of town, and the shop is located very close to Amagerbro station. We made it, just 15 minutes before closing time, and I just had to buy the bright, yellow yarn. I guess I could make something a niece would like!
By then, it was 2 p.m., and the shops were closing. We thought it had been a great day. Four shops in one day is not bad!
Since we were watching the TV-show, I thought a visit to "
Laundromat" would be fun. One of the main characters is working in this cafe. (It was a hit! Very much!) To get there, we took the metro to Nørreport.
Arriving there, we discovered that
Uldstedet was open until 3 p.m.! It was nice to see the new shop! Inside I discovered what the yellow yarn was for - and I bought a little sock yarn and some bright orange and green as well. They had some very pretty scarfs and blouses made with 2 rows of kid-mohair and 2 rows of self-striping sock yarn. It looked amazing! So now I have yarn for 2 scarfs for 2 nieces. Depending on which one of them shouting "ME" first.
After 5 shops? We were quite exhausted and went home to the couch and tv.....
