We did lots of stuff, my nephew and I. Yesterday, we did something that we had really been looking forward to! We went to Flensburg with one of my friends from Funen.
First thing we did, after parking the car, was of course to pass "Wollsucht". Which HADN'T closed up! Now, I just CAN'T pass lovely Opal yarn when it's so cheap, so a few skeins went out of the shop with us.... (Almost like buying flour and oatmeal!)
The next thing we did, was entering one of the lovely ice cream cafés and have a giant ice cream! It's part of the fun, and it became our lunch.
In the pedestrian area, it was as nice as always, and we looked in a lot of shops. One of the things we looked for was tea! My nephew wants to find as many kinds of Earl Grey as possible......
Skal helt sikker have nogle flere sommerbluser!
A few years back, I went to Flensburg and found a shop with African fabric. I would SO love to find it again! Fortunately, it was still in business. I guess it's really a hairdresser, and then in a cabinet they have a lot of fabric in some piles. Not at all how you imagine a fabric store!
But I found some more African fabric, and was overjoyed. I'll definitely be making som more summer tops!
On the way back, we did what my nephew had been looking most forward to. Like his wildest dreams! He had been talking about mountains of candy with shining eyes, and he had his dream fulfilled.
We went to Scandi Park, and he got to pick candy. We ended up with quite a pile!
Somehow, we managed to get everything home with us, and now it's here, waiting to know what candy will go to the US with us (most of it).
Today, we'll do some laundry and relax. Try to find a teapot with a heater (like he would so much want) and drink rhubarb juice. It will be a good day.
