I'm getting around a lot right now! This week, I went to Västerås for a few days. I had no idea where it is, but it's very close to Stockholm, right on the brink of Mälaren, one of the big, Swedish lakes.
The trip started really early in the morning, but I did have a lot of time for preparation on the train. That's what I thought! The kid sitting in front of me was distracting me a bit.
Västerås is really, really beautiful. After the first day, I took a walk with my colleague who lives not too far away from the place, but who had not really been there. We saw so many beautiful apartments with a view over the water.
The next morning, I also went for a walk (you know - my 10,000 steps!). This time, I walked the other way, and it was so foggy, but not at all less beautiful.
On the left, there is a tiny island with trees, on the right there is a pier leading to a lighthouse.
I turned out be the world's smallest lighthouse! It was so tiny that it easily would fit in my garden, although I do believe my neighbors would be very sick of it very quickly......
There is a stream going through the city, and they also have an old castle. Maybe not the most interesting castle, but still a castle.
I would love to sit at the restaurant next to the stream, having dinner some time. I'm sure you'd get eaten up by mosquitos, but dreams are free!
It's fun to see all these places in Sweden.
