The sushi-scarf-yarn arrived yesterday, so I had to get started! It ended up with the pink fish-and-rice and the ones with egg and rice. All the colors are malabrigo worsted, while the black and white are mayflower easy care classic. With the white, I use a little mohair/silk and with the black, I use a little alpaca/wool, so all the strands will be almost the same thickness.
This morning, I made the first maki-roll (of 26!). Looks pretty, don't you think?
I use some very yummy yarn, so everything will be nice and soft. The original is made in acrylics, through and through. But I really don't want to do that. Not even though it is for an 11 year old!
Now I just have to make sushi. AND sew. Oh my, there is so much sewing to do in this pattern!
