It's wasp time. The annoying winged beasts who can sting more than once and therefore have a very low threshold for doing just that. When I was a kid, I very rarely stayed on my chair if we ate outside in late summer. Instead, I screamed and RAN inside as soon as a wasp showed up. (So now I'm adult. Now I just walk away. Fast. This Saturday, I killed one in juice.) Wasps can think (believe it or not!) If you spray them with water, they think it's raining and fly home. And if you use today's pattern and crochet a decoy wasp nest, well, they are supposed to take off. Could be worth trying!
