Politimuseet / The police museum

På Nørrebro, lige ved Skt. Hans Torv, ligger Politimuseet.

At Nørrebro, right by Skt. Hans Torv, is were the Police museum is. It's not open very often, and several times I have been thinking about visiting it. The yesterday I passed by, and it was open!
The museum is really small. On the ground floor it's about the history of the Danish police, and since you start the tour looking at this guy, it really makes you want to behave!

Like i said, it was mostly history - old methods of punishing and old uniforms, the Danish police during the WWII and some prison cells.
They also had this chair that they used for taking mug shots. There is only ONE way to sit on the chair, and the mirror is really clever since you get the side of the face on the same photo.
Der var også denne her politialarm. Jeg tænkte selvfølgelig på Dr. Who's Tardis.

There was even this police alarm. Of course I thought about the Tardis in Dr. Who. The Danish version would probably never become a time machine!

Well. Then I went to the top floor of the museum. Which is more about true crimes.
Solved and unsolved. I did think that was a whole lot darker! I totally lost the wish to take more pictures, actually. The worst part was the crimes where someone got killed, which lead to the police finding the killer and discovering that the person had done lots of assaults and rapes earlier on, but nobody knew about the truth. I can't understand and I do think it's horrible that some people just feels like hurting other people - several times!
Well. So now I visited the police museum! I don't need to do that again......
