Michigan is very, very cold right now. So cold, actually, that the university cancelled the classes for more than 1 day for the first time in 35 years!
So yesterday, we were mostly inside. With nephew and my knitting. I WANTED to finish the picture on the front!
It feels never-ending having come to the middle of it, and I really had a hard time finding my motivation, to be honest.
But really - sitting next to the fireplace, it was kind of cozy, and I was very focused on having smaller goals with about 10 rows, so I felt like it was going somewhere.
As you can see, we ended up using another picture. My suggestion was the zombie and maybe a circle with the surroundings, but my nephew said no. EVERYTHING is square in Minecraft, so of course, he needed the squares.
Anyway - I finished the picture! In the evening, it looked like this. So now I'll just knit the neck-part, sew in all the ends, sew it together and knit the neck rib. I would love it to get all done today!
It looks a little Picasso-like with this background, but it looks like it does. These were the colors I had at home, and I do think it looks okay. There was no way I could make it look totally like the original picture!
